Juvederm® / Restylane® / PERLANE® /Belotera®
Hyaluronic Acid (Restylane®, Perlane ®, Juvederm®, Belotera®) is an injectable filler, used for smoothing out facial wrinkles or plumping the skin. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a biodegradable gel made to match your body's own natural compound. In addition to adding fullness to the skin, Restylane attracts water molecules to the site of the injection, further enhancing its effectiveness and providing it with a natural feel.
The wonderful part of HA fillers is that results are immediate following injection, providing instant gratification. Day-to-day activities can be resumed immediately afterwards, with no downtime necessary. Side effects are rare but may include bruising at injection sites or slight swelling for 1-2 days. The length of results may vary from patient to patient or based upon injection site, with the average longevity being 6-8 months. Patients should refrain from rubbing or massaging the treated area for approximately 48 hours.

Voluma is the latest filler to be FDA approved for cosmetic uses. Similar to Juvederm, Restylane and Perlane, Voluma is a Hyaluronic acid (HA) product that is based upon your body's own natural HA.
What makes Voluma unique is how it is formulated. Voluma is a larger injectable product making it ideal for plumping up large areas such as the cheeks. Adding volume (Volumizing) deflated soft, sagging cheeks restores fullness and lifts the midface countering the signs of aging and creating a non-surgical face lift.
Radiesse® is a synthetic filler composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres in a water-based gel. These microspheres stimulate the production of collagen by your body, restoring volume and contour to the treated areas of your face. Radiesse is generally recommended to treat deeper wrinkles of the face or to volumize the mid face. It is a safe filler that produces immediate results that can last for a year and sometimes even longer with touch-up treatments.
How do you choose the best filler for your needs? Radiesse, Restylane and Juvederm are all safe and FDA approved. Radiesse and Voluma are longer lasting fillers that are used more for volumizing the face whereas Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm are more often utilized for lines, lips and deep furrows.

Sculptra® is an injectable product that corrects the signs of facial fat loss (lipoatrophy) by restoring lost volume in the skin. Lipoatrophy can result in sunken cheeks, indentations and hollow eyes. Injected into the deep dermis layer of the skin, Sculptra® provides a gradual and significant increase in skin thickness, improving the appearance of folds and sunken areas. Note that Sculptra® does not treat lipoatrophy, but it does compensate for its effects. Sculptra treatments usually require 4-6 injection sessions to build up adequate tissue to provide fullness. These treatments are done at approximately 4-6 week intervals.
Sculptra's main component is an alpha hydroxy acid called poly-L-lactic acid, or PLLA. It is safe, synthetic (artificially created), biocompatible (can be used harmlessly in the body), biodegradable (able to be broken down in the body) and long-lasting. PLLA has been used for more than 20 years in many surgical products, including dissolvable sutures and soft tissue implants.
Fat transfer is a minor surgical procedure that restores lost volume in the face or body using the patient's own fat, taken from the abdomen, thighs or other areas. This procedure is effective in treating sunken cheeks, facial lines and other areas of lost volume that have developed as a result of aging, sun damage and other conditions. Fat transfer to other body parts can be used to augment other areas of the body using your own natural fat. Results are long lasting due to the permanent grafting of the stem cells present in your fat. These cells continue to grow and multiply over the years to provide a lasting effect.
Unlike fillers and other volume-enhancing treatments, fat grafts are taken from the patient's own body, and as a result cannot cause an allergic reaction. The fat is naturally accepted by the body. Autologous fat grafts also last longer than synthetic materials. Harvesting of the fat is performed using a mini-liposuction technique or can be combined with larger liposuction / liposculpture procedures.
Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to treat painful, unsightly varicose and spider veins. These veins are treated by injecting a solution of Asclera® directly into the damaged veins, causing irritation, collapse and shrinking of the vein. Sclerotherapy has been used on patients across the world since the 1930s and remains the primary effective treatment for varicose and spider veins.
Sclerotherapy is a safe procedure performed in the office without the need for anesthesia. Most procedures take about 30 minutes to perform. Risks include bruising, slight temporary irritation or itching at injection sites. Rare side effects include pigmentation so patients should avoid sun exposure after treatments. After injections patients must wear elastic compression and avoid exercise for 4 days.
